John F. Kennedy International Airport-JetBlue’s Terminal 5

When JetBlue Airways was planning its new home-base of operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport, they knew they wanted a terminal that re-defined the parameters of air travel and reached beyond traditional passenger expectations. AirProjects helped them achieve this vision by preparing the concession plan for the new Terminal 5, which included approximately 60,000 square feet of retail, food service, and consumer services. AirProjects worked with the Gensler design team to ensure that the retail, food service, and terminal designs were complementary, leading-edge, and supportive of the JetBlue corporate image. AirProjects also assisted JetBlue with implementation, solicitation, and leasing efforts and assisted JetBlue with the overall management of the concession program for its first year of operations. The concession program at Terminal 5 was honored with the industry’s most prestigious “Griesbach Award of Excellence” in 2009 by the Airports Council International – North America.
