AirProjects was retained to review and analyze the proposed food service concession program for the McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport developed by Airport management. Using the results of our initial analyses, AirProjects performed conceptual planning, focusing on the physical elements of the program and the market factors impacting sales and revenue. AirProjects worked with Authority management to evaluate the concession leasing and packaging opportunities for the future program and tested the feasibility of developing and operating the concessions over a reasonable lease period. AirProjects also assisted the Authority with the competitive solicitation process to award new leases. Tasks included drafting the business terms and concept descriptions used in the solicitation documents, assisting with the outreach program and vendor Industry Day, participating in the pre-proposal conference, developing responses to concessionaire questions during the solicitation period, reviewing proposals, and advising members of the selection panel in all evaluation meetings and concessionaire interviews.
